Let's Get This Readathon Party Started!

As per usual, I'm fashionably late to the readathon :p I had to grumpily arise out of bed after hitting the snooze button for 30 minutes, take a shower, get coffee and now I SEEM to be a little awake :p So now I think I can finally get started. Introductory post time!

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

I am reading from Mandeville, Louisiana which is on the northshore of Lake Ponchartrain from New Orleans. I'll be in my little apartment for most of the day but will most certainly be enjoying my patio as well as it's a GORGEOUS day and all the little birdies are tweeting away out there :)

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

Oooh, that's a toughie! I think it's between finishing Eleanor and Park by Ranbow Rowell and Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris. I am SO excited about new Sedaris!!

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

Mmmmm...Lemon meringue pie and velveeta and rotel dip...both of which I made last night :p

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!

I'm a voracious reader, lover of music, counselor for a living who is currently in the middle of a five day vacation for the readathon :) I love gardening, comfy and cozy things and I've been blogging here since January of 2007. And I really miss Dewey :( And I hate Google.

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to

Hmmm...not sure I'll do much different this year. What I've learned is to just HAVE FUN!!!! That it's not a competition....Spend as much time as I like blogging and reading friends blogs....update when I want to, read when I want to, do the mini challenges I want...make it a no pressure day and just enjoy the hell out of it :)

Thank you to EVERYONE who is making today possible!!!! I love you guys!!!!

I miss Dewey and hate Google too. :-( The sun is shining over here and it's making me so happy. I plan on sitting next to my windows. Happy reading.
