January 8th - Chu's Day by Neil Gaiman - For many this will be a Gaiman that you'll pass up, but for me, I'm a bit of a completeist when it comes to Neil Gaiman. So I'll be picking up this new picture book for the younger set by Neil!

I have one for February! I'm not sure if you've read Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series, but they're awesome, fun books. One of my friends described them as a "steampunk comedy of manners." She has a new (related) series coming out, and the first book, Etiquette & Espionage will be out in February!
so far the only one not out yet that i want is: Speaking from Among the Bones: A Flavia de Luce Novel
my wish list is way too long especially when my tbr pile is still about 130 bks!geez.
I don't think I want to know how many are on your tbr pile lol..
happy reading in 2013 son!!
Wow some really great books coming out this year!!
Good lord, how do you even keep track of all this?!! I never know what's coming out unless I read it on a book blog...and I generally tend to forget anyway until it comes out. Me = Pathetic :P
Hey hun!! I wanted to thank you for the beautiful Christmas card. I have been lax the last few years, and didn't get a chance to send any in return. My December was spent with finals....and work every available hour. I'm sorry!! But I love you, and wanted to stop in and wish you a Happy New Year!! Hopefully, I will be "seeing" you a lot more this year!! I've missed you!
I had no idea that Neil Gaiman had so many books being published this year! Love in the Time of Global Warming looks amazing!
The new Neil Gaiman certainly sounds like a good'un!
I was watching a quiz show earlier today and found out that the title of your blog, Chris, is a quote from The Tempest. I honestly did not know that...
Nicole, I STARTED the first book on my Nook and was actually really enjoying it, just never got back to it. Really need to!! I forget about the books on my nook :p Exciting she has a new series!!
Pat, I so need to catch up in that series!! I loved the first one! And you really don't want to know how high my TBR pile is :p
Manda, There really are!!!
Debi, I don't even know where I hear about these things but I'm a bit obsessed with keeping track of preorders :p
Steph, Oh you're so welcome my dear!!! Good to hear from you :) Is school going good? Love you too!!
Vasilly, I'm SO excited about this year being the year of Neil Gaiman!!
Cath, Doesn't it sound fabulous?? SO excited about it! Yep :) It's one of my favorite lines in literature.
Oooh, April is gonna be awesome! I know what I'm buying myself for my birthday. ;-)
We should plan a group read of Gulp!
Gonna be some great Gaiman coming out this year, I'm very excited about all of it except the Interworld sequel. I just didn't think the first one had any Gaiman flair to it and given that the next has two co-authors my enthusiasm just isn't there.
I'm looking forward to John Scalzi's newest in his Old Man's War universe. It is being released in episodes starting this month and then later as a complete book. I plan on reading it as it comes out as that will be a new experience for me.
I need to get caught up with Cherie Priest's Clockwork Century (2 books behind) as I believe she has another one coming out late this year.
I knew about the Stephen King, which I am already waiting for so desperately, but finally Yellowcakes is out here! Yaaaaay! I've been waiting for it too, it looks really good. And then there is the Neil Gaiman (the Ocean at the End of the Lane), and the Maureen Johnson - I really enjoyed the first one, it was spooky and creepy and good horror fiction. Awesome!!! YOu have a lovely list of books you are waiting for, my friend! And I have a tiny list that will probably grow sooner :-)
*ahem* Where is FABLES? How is it that you started that series before me and are now the slacker?? Shame on you! As much as I love THE UNWRITTEN, FABLES is my first love. :p
Ha! I added the Wool omnibus because of Carl's post the other day!
Yes! My Hugh Howey marketing check is getting bigger!!!
ARGHHHHHH -- *must start saving up money NOW* fantastic list. Mary Roach! Neil Gaiman! Michael Pollan! Shaun Tan! I can't stand it.
There are so many books on this list that I haven't heard about and so many that I want to read. Ugh! I will be even more broke by the time the year is out :)
I'm impressed! I don't keep up with new releases or to-be released books. I have been hearing outstanding things about Wool, though.
I don't usually pre-order books, but I could not bear the idea of not having our Lenore's book arrive the moment it's released, so I pre-ordered Level 2. One more week, I think! And, then I went and pre-ordered Scarlet because I loved Cinder, but only thanks to a gift card for Christmas. 'Cause, really . . . I don't pre-order. You are nuts. I can't believe you've already ordered books that don't come out till August and September!!!!
I am so so so worried that i will hate Dr. Sleep. I want to love it but, moreso, i don't want to HATE it! I'm on board with all the Gaiman and will be reading the Mary Roach and the next Unwritten volume.
