Progress Report: Progress?? What's that? :p I totally just fell asleep for an hour and a half without meaning to. Love it when that happens. But let me tell you, this body is NOT used to a 6:30 AM wake up call. I normally wake up at noon, lol. That's due to me working nights. But it's for Dewey and I'll wake up for her any day at 6:30 :D BUT I have to say I think that nap was a damn good thing!! I woke up feeling so much better, ran to the coffee shop and got another coffee and acknowledged that life existed outside of this apartment and listened to some Sleigh Bells REALLY LOUD on my drive there and back which is an awesome way to get reinvigorated :D I think I'm going to read for about the next hour on the couch and then go read in my absolute FAVORITE place, which is soaking in a warm tub with some candles lit and some bath salts :)

AND There's the Midevent Survey! Here are my answers:

1) How are you doing? Sleepy? Are your eyes tired?
I was TOTALLY sleepy but I'm not anymore :D And that would be because I fell asleep on accident for an hour and a half and because I have conquered sleep with coffee.

2) What have you finished reading?
So far, I've read Macbeth by Shakespeare, Ghandi: A Manga Biography by Kazuki Ebine and Death: The Deluxe Edition by Neil Gaiman.

3) What is your favorite read so far?
Definitely the Gaiman!! So much better than I was even hoping it would be!

4) What about your favorite snacks?
The mint oreos >>

5) Have you found any new blogs through the readathon? If so, give them some love!
I haven't done a whole lot of blog hopping unfortunately BUT, I did find one blog that I'm guessing I'll be seeing much more of :D It's A Literary Odyssey! She was hosting a mini-challenge earlier and giving away a set of a series of Penguin books that I had never heard of before!! And as I collect Penguins and just think that they are the coolest publisher ever and make beautiful books, well I fell in love instantly :)

Sounds like you're well caffeinated. Or at least on the way to being... ;-)

Have fun with the rest of your readathon!

I'm so behind! That whole 2.5 hour party threw me...

Oh yay! You've found Allie! I truly think you will love her.

I'm jealous of your iced mochas! I had a chai tea latte this morning and a diet coke not too long ago, but it might be time for my third caffeinated beverage of the day. I wish it were coffee, though. I might make some tea a little bit later to relax after all that caffeine! I'm reading Radioactive by Lauren Redniss. I took a big break in the middle of the evening to talk on the phone with my sister, eat dinner, and hang out with Michael, but now it's back to reading!

I wish I could take a nap, but I just don't trust myself--I don't think I could make myself get back up. :P I'm so glad it helped you though--you sound absolutely raring to go again! :D Have fun, darlin'! LOVE YOU!!!!

Yikes - 6:30 is early. I always feel bad for people that aren't living it up here on the east coast of the US and have to start really early or really late. If I had gotten up at 6:30 I would have needed a nap for sure!

Sounds like you're still doing great anyway finishing off all those started books. Wake up and keep up the great reading! =P
