Bad Bloggers! In Which I Can Blame No One...

So I've decided that I'll do these Bad Bloggers posts once a week so that it doesn't turn into those thirty books posts that I used to post when I used to do these posts. I'll just write about everything that came into the house and hopefully I can pass off blame on to people :p Sadly, this week, I have to take all of the blame myself :/ That's just no fun...I'd much rather blame others...but alas, these are just books I've been wanting for awhile that somehow made their way into my house.

1. Sleeping in Flame by Jonathan Carroll - After listening to The Land of Laughs on audio, I fell in love with Jonathan Carroll's writing. I want everything the man has written. I'm actually listening to another story of his right now, White Apples, on audio, and it's amazing as well, just very different from The Land of Laughs. Anyway, I went on Paperback Swap looking for his books and this one was available and it is now all mine! (Paperback Swap)

2. Mountains of the Moon by I.J. Kay - That name has to be a pen name, right? IJK? Anyway, I actually heard about this one on Shelf Awareness and it sounded really amazing! I could give a point to Shelf Awareness, but I can't exactly give them a book if they win :p I don't know that Neil Gaiman would accept a book from me if he won either, but we'll see :p I had a bad day this week when I was sick and was hanging out with Matt so we took a trip to Barnes and Noble and I treated myself to this one :) It's next on board to start reading! (Bought it)

3. Shadow Show: All New Stories in Celebration of Ray Bradbury edited by Sam Weller and Mort Castle - This is SUCH a wonderful book!!! It has an amazing list of authors including Neil Gaiman, Margaret Atwood, Audrey Nifenegger and many many more. I've started this one and I'm treating myself to one story a day! It has 26 stories in it so I have 23 days left at this point to enjoy it :) (Bought it)

4. The Wooden Sea by Jonathan Carroll - Just another amazing sounding Carroll book to add to the collection! (Paperback Swap)

5. The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen - When I read Garden Spells, I knew I was a fan of Ms. Allen's novels. Since then I've wanted to get them all and this one was on the bargain rack at Barnes and Noble for $4.95!! Couldn't pass that up!! So I got me a gorgeous little hard cover of it :) (Bought it)

Now hopefully next week I'll have someone to blame other than myself for my new books >> What's come into your house recently??

Thanks for you good SHADOW SHOW words. Might you share them as an amazon review, too?

Hope you enjoy the rest of the book.

LOL--you didn't get assign many points last round either. Looks like you're the very baddest blogger of all, huh? :P

I read The Wooden Sea a couple of years ago, and quite enjoyed it.

Be aware it's the third in a series though. (I wasn't) From what I remember it was fairly standalone though.

I have The Wooden Sea and haven't read it yet. I seem to have quite a huge not-read-yet bookshelf right now! I LOVED Land of Laughs when I read it 20-odd years ago, and I'm due for a reread.

The stories in honour of Bradbury look so interesting!

I'm so glad you can only blame yourself for these! lol It makes me feel better about the books I've been bringing in lately all on my own. I think I can find some bloggers to blame though....

The Girl Who Chased the Moon was the first book that really sucked me in and made me forget I was reading on an e-reader! Loved it! I hope you do, too, Chris.
