Which hour was most daunting for you?
Believe it or not, for me it was 10:00 in the morning :p I am just not a morning person at all and I'm ESPECIALLY not a morning person if I wake up to an alarm early in the morning. So even despite having had coffee, my eyes wanted to go back to sleep. So I let them, woke back up at 11, then made it all the way until about 5A.M. just fine!
Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year?
Seriously, every book I read would be PERFECT for any future readathons! So: Flora and Ulysses by Kate DiCamillo, Carrie by Stephen King, Boxers by Gene Luen Yang, Saints by Gene Luen Yang and Love in the Time of Global Warming by Francesca Lia Block
Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
Nope! You organizers never cease to amaze me!!! It was just absolutely perfect and this was truly one of the best readathons I've done in a long time :)
What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon?
You know, I can't even put my finger on it, but it just had a really good spirit about it this year. Maybe it was my own state of mind, I don't know....but it felt like it truly was Dewey's Readathon. And I think she'd be really proud of how it's being carried on :)
How many books did you read?
FIVE!
What were the names of the books you read?
Flora and Ulysses by Kate DiCamillo, Carrie by Stephen King, Boxers by Gene Luen Yang, Saints by Gene Luen Yang and Love in the Time of Global Warming by Francesca Lia Block
Which book did you enjoy most?
I honestly cannot pick just one...but it's between Gene Luen Yang's Boxers and Saints and Francesca Lia Block's Love in the Time of Global Warming
Which did you enjoy least?
Flora and Ulysses, which I adored....and to say that I enjoyed a Kate DiCamillo book the LEAST is saying a lot about how good of a readathon yesterday was! I love Kate DiCamillo and got to meet her a couple of years ago. This was such a great little book. The problem was, the other books were too :p
If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders?
N/A
How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?
I will most definitely be reading in the next readathon :)

I thought there was a lot of good energy and festivity around and about this time, too. You're not alone in feeling that way! --Andi
5 books!!!! You know how awesome that is, right?!! And how envious certain friends of yours might be? :P
Soooooooooooo happy you had such a good time, sweetie!!! Not that I want to wish away time or anything, but I already can't wait for the next one! :D
How great! Congrats on a successful reading weekend (and on the fund raising). I hope you get some good rest now and can power through the week ahead.
