It's Once Upon A Time Time!

I look forward to writing the title of this post every year. Carl has announced his Once Upon a Time Challenge for the seventh year now! And for the seventh year, I'll be participating! I so so so look forward to this challenge every year. And this year is certainly no exception. Despite the fact that it's been a busy as hell year and I'm just now getting around to announcing my participation in the challenge, I refuse to miss out on the fun.

This will fit in nicely with the themed reading months that Debi is doing that I decided to join in with as April is all about fantasy, fairy tales, folklore and myth....certainly no coincidence there. As usual, I have just a small pool of books to choose from....60 to be exact :p And that's not counting all of the books that I have yet to grab off of the shelves from my mom's house. Here are some pictures of the books I'll be choosing from:

Feel free to enbiggen the pictures to see what I have to choose from! Anything jump out at you that I have to read immediately? Oh AND we have Dewey's Readathon at the end of April!!!! Don't forget about that! 24 hours to remember Dewey AND knock out a whole bunch of excellent Once Upon a Time books :)

Ok....off to read ;)

The Wind in the Willows and Wintersmith are two fantastic books. Hope you read Dodger as I would love to hear about that. Have fun with this year's OUaT, Chris.

Impressive piles! Dodger is a lot of fun and Gathering Blue is wonderful (and very quick)--and The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland was the BEST book I read last year, rivaled only by its own sequel. So if there was one I'd say must be read post-haste, that's it!

I love looking at your piles! Akata Witch, Bone, Bird, and Boneshaker are all great reads. Happy reading.

Ditto Vasilly's comment. Your piles are always such fun to look at (ogle, drool over). I've read just a few of those -- particularly love the Sarah Addison Allen. I don't do challenges, but I may follow along in spirit and read The Wizard of Oz, since I've got a copy of that coming.

Graham Joyce!!!! Heee! I have that one but I haven't read it. I'm thinking of combining OUAT with Readathon too, I'm just about to do a post :-)

Book porn....lol I LOVE those piles of books! I don't feel badly about the two ones I have now, they seem measely compared to yours! LOL You have to read Seraphina....I have Some Kind of Fairy Tale too, to read on my pile. Let's see: read a Jonathan Carroll too, cause you really like him, read a graphic novel because what's OUaT without one? and read Angela Carter because I'm in the mood for her too! lol What a lovely, lovely selection fo books to pick from, Chris. And maybe, just maybe, my kids are old enough this year that I can join in Dewey's Readathon for the first time.
