Time For My Weekly Post!

Well today was supposed to be a fun today and it turned into a blah day. Not a bad day necessarily. I spent the first half of the day looking at a house I've been interested in and I'm still really interested in it, but I was underwhelmed...mostly because of the work that I'd have to put into it to make it what I want. Not that it has any major damage or anything, but definitely needs some things updated. Which makes me think I should look some more but this location is just so perfect and I'm worried if I don't put an offer in on this house I'm never going to find the location I want again. But the positives...I've seen the house now and I've met with my agent who is EXCELLENT!

Aside from that I've been in such a crappy mood all day today I think mostly just due to being absolutely DRAINED from this week at work which was just absolutely relentless. I haven't thought about work for a second today, but the lingering side effects of it are still there. You know when you just know that you're going to wake up and have an awesome day the next day and then it doesn't go that way? Yeah, that.

Also overwhelmed at all of the books that I have to get reviewed!! I'm very tempted just to say READ IT or DON'T BOTHER for everything that I've read, but there's a few books like Quiet by Susan Cain that I REALLY want to tell you about because it was absolutely amazing and I think everyone should read it!!! Then there's all of the graphic novels I've read lately that I don't really know how to review because they're further volumes in a series...But Gate 7 by CLAMP? I'm all caught up in that one and if you're looking for a good manga series it remains excellent!

I read the first volume of American Virgin by Steven Seagle today and I really don't know what the hell I think about it, lol...I'm going to have to read more. It's basically about a guy who's saving himself for marriage because of his religion and makes it his mission to spread that message to the world and then something horrible happens that tears apart his life and makes him requestion everything...and go a bit psychotic. I'm curious to see where it goes.

Yeah...feeling about as blah as this post sounds :p Give me some good news! What good things have happened in your life recently???

I'm so sorry the house wasn't as wonderful as I hoped it would be...but I'll talk about that more in your email. I so hope the blahs just pick up and leave town...the blahs just suck!!! Love you, sweetie!!!!

I'm sorry to hear you had such a blah-ish day. I'm always overhyping days in my mind - either thinking "this is going to be awesome!" or "I'm going to get so much done on this day!" and then end up totally disappointed, so I definitely see where you're coming from.

My good news? Nothing too extraordinary, but I spent the weekend live-in dog/housesitting, and everything went really well and there were no unexpected unpleasant events for a change. It was supremely relaxing to get away from my life for the weekend and hang out with some cuddly Yorkies. Alas, it's back to real life now, but it was good while it lasted!

American Virgin is really weird. If I didn't have all four volumes I am not sure I would have finished, but I didn't hate it when I did finish it... So...

I'm so sorry you're having a blah day.

I have tiny daffodils hiding in my yard. You only see them if you are doing yard work. You're welcome to come do my yard work, I mean see my daffodils, if it will cheer you up.
