The Great Seed Giveaway!

Hey Guys!! So I want to get people gardening :p I want to get people gardening BAD :p So I thought, what better way to do this than to give people free seeds! You see, I've collected an ABUNDANCE of seeds. More than I'll ever be able to plant. So I'm going to give some of them away. Here's the deal. I'm going to list all of the seeds that I have. If you want any of them, just comment! This is open international too as seeds are light and they won't cost me much to ship. Though be forewarned, I don't know anything about how seeds grow in other countries. I'll pick five winners and send them five seed packets of their choice!! Some of these are my own saved seed, some of these are other people's saved seed, some of these are store bought seed. But either way, you can start your very own garden with these and have veggies absolutely for free!!!

Now I have an idea here! If you have your own seeds to spare, why not do your own giveaway?? If you decide to do so, let me know and I'll link to your post on this post. Also, if you DO have seeds to spare, and see something you really want on this page, let me know and we can swap ;) So once more...the rules. This is open to EVERYONE! Oh, and don't say you don't have room! Everyone has room! Even if you just have an apartment with a sunny window, you can grow SOMETHING in a container :) Gardening is fun too I promise you. And it's much cheaper than buying veggies and herbs at the grocery store. Just leave a comment letting me know that you want some seeds! On February 5th, Sunday, I'll pick five winners and email you to see which five seed packets you'd like :) It's fine if more than one person wants the same seeds...I'll just split them up as I have plenty of everything for the most part. If not, I'll let you know and you can pick something else. Spread the word too! You don't have to be a regular commenter here at all to enter! Here's what I have to offer (it's a lot):

  • Yellow Manchu Rose Seeds (only have a few of these so winner will get two along with instructions for planting them)
  • Wilflower mix (winner will get an envelope full of literally dozens of different types of wildflower seeds)

I can't have a garden here, but the guy said I could maybe steal a bit of his parents land to grow a few things... hm... It would be fun if the seeds were from you. Unfortunately he is at work right now, so I will have to wait. :( Hopefully there will be things left by then!

Are those my lettuce and cilantro seed? How wonderful that you're spreading them around! I loved doing our seed swap. I'm going to start planting stuff next week. I know I already got my fair share, but I would really like to try growing some brussel sprouts...

Debi, I'd probably enter you even if you didn't enter yourself :p Can't wait to see everything y'all can plant in the new place!!

Pat, I've accumulated them over the last three years, lol. I was looking the other day and realized that I just have way too many damn seeds, lol. And are you sure you don't want to be entered? You could TOTALLY grow some tomatoes on your patio in a pot and have some fresh ones!!

Jeane, They are!! You sent me more lettuce seed than I could ever plant! LOL...and I found I actually had some cilantro already, though I did plant some that you sent me :) I'll enter you of course!!

Trish, Oh wow that was quick!!! I'm so excited for you all :D Of course I want PICTURES!!!

Enter me please if it's not too late! My husband and I are preparing the garden beds now, and I'm drooling over all of the seed catalogues. I still need to get watermelon, pumpkin, and kale. The burgundy okra and black-eyed peas on your list caught my interest, too. As for okra, I've only grown the standard green variety sold in local stores...it never crossed my mind that there were other varieties to try. Thanks for offering the seed giveaway!

Gardening, for as long as you have the time and patience for it, can be very relaxing and beneficial. To have a marvelous green view alone is already rewarding for me.
