Random Sleep Patterns

I got home around 4 yesterday and around 6:30 decided to lay down for a little while for a "nap". Yeah, definitely didn't wake up again until 11:30 at night and boy was I wide awake. So I stayed up until 5:00 in the morning and then slept until 11:00 this morning. Strange...

Needless to say, I did not allow myself to take a nap today and didn't really need one. Today was good though. I met my mom and Pier 1 and finally found bookshelves! They were 50% off and they're so nice. We bought 3, but they only had 1 in stock...so that one is nice and assembled and my books finally have a place to call home. The other 2 come in on Monday. They're made of pine, are nice and solid, and have a really pretty light "midnight" varnish. Love them.

Just got off of work. Long night at work....worked an extra hour because of things that went a wry that you really don't want me to get into. So I stopped off at the coffee shop after work to get some fuel and now I'm here sharing my new beautiful book shelves with all the world via the internet.

Everyone else's weekend going ok?

Oh, wow, that's a gorgeous shelf! And you've got two more coming? Cool!

My weekend's going great. We worked in the garden and then I took a long nap. Sound familiar? My eyes are burning but I always feel like I've accomplished something worthwhile when I work on the gardening.

hehe...I've had a few work in the garden and take a nap days lately myself. Gardening is definitely one of those things where you can actually see the results when you're done. Quite rewarding.

Yep, 2 more shelves on the way. Pier 1 has a great sale!

Loving the new bookcase! I can't wait to get mine and get them up in the new house (and filled with books), but sadly I will have to...

Love gardening too :-)

Oh, and you know, I'm lamenting that I can't quite read all the titles of the books on your bookcase. :P

Hehe..I ordered a CueCat from Library Thing and as soon as I get it, I'll upload everything onto there. I'll post when the Library Thing is complete.

LOVE the bookshelf, looks great, especially with all the great books on it.

The weekend has been great! I've finished two novels and am well on my way into a third, introduced my 14 year old daughter to the wonder that is Big Trouble in Little China, and have eaten some really good food.

Tonight is David Lynch's version of Dune (again, an introduction for the kid) and some more reading.

Wish it wasn't all ending so soon.

Okay, not only are those great shelves, but I am so happy you met your mom at Pier 1. You mean boys actually come back to appreciating their mothers when sixteen is over? Please, tell me it's true!

I know the feeling Carl. I can't believe it's Monday tomorrow already! Sounds like a great weekend! I wish I could've fit more reading in, but it was a good weekend to get caught up on other stuff. Sounds like you're raising your daughter right ;)

Bellezza, Haha! you crack me up. Me and my mom have gotten very close as I've grown. I was the rebellious little 16 year old as well and I never would've thought that one day I'd be meeting my mom at Pier 1!
